What Is AOD-9604?
AOD-9604 (Anti-Obesity Drug 9604) is a synthetic peptide fragment derived from the C-terminal end of human growth hormone (amino acids 176–191). It was developed by Monash University in Australia specifically to isolate HGH's fat-burning properties while eliminating its growth-promoting effects.
The result is a peptide that stimulates lipolysis and inhibits lipogenesis through an HGH-like mechanism, but without raising IGF-1, increasing blood sugar, or causing the long-term complications associated with full growth hormone therapy.
Who Is AOD-9604 For?
- Patients who want fat loss without the appetite suppression mechanism of GLP-1s
- Those who've experienced significant GI side effects from semaglutide and need an alternative
- Body recomposition goals — reducing fat while preserving or building lean mass
- Patients on GH secretagogue protocols who want to add targeted fat metabolism
- Individuals with stubborn body fat deposits not responding to diet and exercise alone
Administration
Standard Protocol
300mcg subcutaneous injection daily, ideally in the morning in a fasted state. Dosing on an empty stomach enhances fat mobilization response. AOD-9604 has a short half-life (~30 minutes) and produces its effect relatively quickly after injection.
Cost in Tennessee
Compounded AOD-9604 runs $100–200/month — lower than most other peptide protocols due to simpler compounding and lower dose volume. See our full cost guide.
