What Is CJC-1295?
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) — the hypothalamic signal that tells the pituitary to release growth hormone. It was developed to have greater stability and a longer half-life than natural GHRH, which has a half-life of only a few minutes. By amplifying the GHRH signal, CJC-1295 increases both GH secretion and downstream IGF-1 production. It is available in two forms: with DAC (extended half-life, weekly dosing) and without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29, daily dosing for pulsatile GH release).
How CJC-1295 Works
- GHRH receptor binding: Binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating GH synthesis and release
- IGF-1 upregulation: Elevated GH signals the liver to produce more IGF-1, the primary anabolic mediator
- Physiologic feedback preserved: Unlike exogenous HGH, the body's somatostatin feedback loop remains active, preventing uncontrolled GH elevation
- Synergy with GHRPs: Works via a different pathway than ipamorelin, so the two together produce amplified results

CJC-1295 vs. CJC-1295 DAC
Without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)
Short half-life (~30 min). Produces pulsatile GH release mimicking natural physiology. Typically dosed 100–200mcg daily, often combined with ipamorelin in the same injection. Preferred by most prescribing physicians for long-term protocols.
With DAC
Extended half-life (6–8 days) via albumin binding. Dosed 1–2x per week. Produces sustained GH elevation rather than pulses. More convenient but may cause pronounced water retention and joint stiffness in some patients.
Who Uses CJC-1295?
- Adults over 30 experiencing age-related GH decline looking for a natural optimization approach
- Fitness-focused individuals pursuing body recomposition (lean mass gain, fat loss)
- Athletes focused on improving exercise recovery and reducing injury risk
- Patients on a comprehensive anti-aging protocol alongside sermorelin, ipamorelin, or GHK-Cu
- Those who want GH support without the cost or risks of synthetic HGH injections
Expected Results
- Weeks 1–4: Improved sleep quality; occasional mild water retention as GH levels increase
- Weeks 4–8: Enhanced exercise recovery, increased energy, subtle improvements in skin tone
- Weeks 8–16: Visible body composition changes with consistent training; improved strength
- Months 4–6+: Meaningful lean mass development, sustained fat reduction, bone density improvements
Cost in Tennessee
Compounded CJC-1295 runs $100–200/month as a standalone. When combined with ipamorelin in a single vial (the most common protocol), the combined cost is typically $200–350/month. Physician consultation is $99–199 initially. See our full cost guide.
